Elmina is a lifestyle brand founded by myself, Ron "Megatron" Simms Jr., and my Facebook wife/partner in crime Renee "Nena" Carter. Conceived way back when in the summer of 2005, the company was originally named Cake. However, instead of conjuring up visions of frosted sugary goodness the name made people think of the shitty mid-90s band of the same name. Sitting at my cubicle one day, a new name suddenly came across my mind. You can probably guess what that was....

Inspired by music, video games, skateboarding, comic books, cartoons, Canada, the 80s, and Carribean culture, Elmina seeks to rid the world of wack ass fashion and preppy popped collars. We're the brand for those who question authority, who can't imagine working a 9-5, who don't fit into stereotypes, and who took the Toys R' Us kid song to heart. Elmina, it's the new shit.
