I'm Ellery (or EmptyCupboard), a photographer and graphic designer based out of Chicago, Illinois.

In my poster designs, I aim to celebrate one of the greatest kinds of modern enchantment: the magic of a good movie. My photography blends my wanderlust, wonder at creation, and love of fairy tales with a whimsical visual style to evoke nostalgia and the sense of the magic found in everyday life. I want these pieces to create the feeling that someone, somewhere, and at this very moment, is beginning a story with "once upon a time".

As far as my philosophy, I believe Hans said it best:

"Life itself is the most wonderful fairytale."
