"Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Elliot missed a lot of the beauty around him in his early years. It was only after he looked through a lens that he began to appreciate the natural magnificence of the place he called home. In a seemingly new world, Elliot took snapshots of anything and everything, from his family's collie to the often-overlooked textures that covered the physical world. As his interest grew, he looked to a love of bodyboarding for inspiration. With the hopes of becoming an underwater photographer in the future, Elliot invested in his first Nikon - a D80 - to extend the control he had over his subjects.

This was the tipping point.

Behind this new SLR, Elliot discovered that he could control depth-of-field and focus-points. The images created were no longer snapshots, but the world exactly as he saw it through the lens. Communication through imagery.
