Ellie is a young interdisciplinary artist with a heavy leaning towards film-making, who has recently moved to South London.

Her past works focus on presence and being present in relation to the viewer’s interaction with her works. By utilising film, objects and performance to create an immersive viewer experience she has addressed issues of anxiety and insomnia.

Keeping these concerns in mind she has more recently been dealing with topics of equality and identity in the contemporary social-political climate. The current moment is integral to Ellie’s practice, as in the weaving of image and sound. She considers the translative process between mediums and how the viewer experiences this amalgamation.

Working with as an audio-visual collaborative with Denzel Wauchpe our current research is addressing the multi-social structure we operate in as contemporary creatives, and how this is changing the audience’s role within a multi-media artworks space.

Our main interest stems from how this discourse has shifted the dichotomy between us as individual mediators, of recipients/producers of mass information content, into being re-appropriators of 20th century visual culture. Questioning how we operate in an era with lack of temporal cultural difference by exploring the phenomenological sense of time and space within communicative capitalism.
