I remember taking photos in early teens with my father's Minolta subminiature camera and I was thrilled to see my first landscape photos on paper. During the years I had several point and shoot cameras of different brands. Yashica Lynx rangefinder camera served me a while. I was a 'snapshot' guy taking mainly family photos, but with my first SLR, a Zenit camera I started to take photography more seriously as a hobby. I soon replaced it with Canon AE-1 Program. That was my gear for many years until in 2002 I bought my first Digital camera, a compact Olympus C3030Z. When I retired I bought my first DSLR, a Canon APS-C camera. In 2016 I moved to MFT system with Olympus gear.

My present cameras are OMD-EM 5 MII, PEN E-P5 and Canon G5X Mark II compact camera. I mostly enjoy landscape and nature photography.

I joined Flickr in 2007, moved to other photo communities in 2009 and returned here in 2020.
