I am sorry to announce that my dear and creative mother, Ellen Karine Andersen, passed away on 18 Feb 2022, 89.5 years of age. Ever since she discovered computer art and got her first PC around 20 years ago, my mother relentlessly worked on mastering a variety of art and drawing programs, first on PCs, then on Macs. With no English language skills, lots of new concepts, and all the apps she wanted to use available only in English, she had a challenging journey. My mother really enjoyed sharing her art and being part of the Flickr community. During the last few months of her life, when she was no longer able to use her Mac, she was always looking forward to recovery and being able to engage with her friends and followers on Flickr again.
