Hello!
I was encouraged to start after taking many, many photos during a trip to Japan. Prior to that, I had no interest in photography whatsoever, and never considered myself to be artistic in any way. (I still don't think I'm creative!).
In October 2008, I attended a photography course and bought my first camera. My journey since has been fun and very rewarding, thanks to the people around me.
Someone once said that photography is actually 2 hobbies - taking pictures, and collecting gear. I am trying very hard not to indulge in the latter, only the former...
My collection consists of :
- Canon IXUS 70 (the one that started it all)
- Olympus E520 (my first DSLR)
- Olympus ZD 14-42mm
- Olympus ZD 40-150mm
- Olympus ZD 9-18mm
- Olympus ZD 14-54mm Mk II
- Nikon E-Series 50mm f1.8 Pancake (sold)
- Olympus OM 50mm f1.4 (sold)
- Olympus OM 50mm f1.8
- Nikon Nikkor-O 35mm f2.0
- Nikon Nikkor-S 55mm f1.2
- Nikon Nikkor 85mm f2.0
Update (Jan 2012) :
I just added a Canon 5D (Mk1) and Sigma 15-30mm to the collection.
Update (Oct 2012):
About time I mentioned that I got a Olympus OM-D E-M5 with the 12-50mm lens.
Update (Jan 2013):
Got my hands on a Panasonic 14mm f2.5 lens.
Update (Jan 2014):
Added a Panasonic 25mm f1.4 lens
