Drag to set position!
Electrical Technolo-G was started back in August 2005 as a one man Electrician Swindon, working solely in the domestic market. At this time we carried out all the usual domestic electrical works from new installs to adding sockets and upgrading consumer units. From these early days one of our most important goals was to provide an excellent service to our clients.
Within a couple of years, a further two employees were added allowing us to move into larger domestic installations and smaller commercial works. We also added the ability to supply and fit Intruder Alarm systems, door access systems and CCTV for home and business.
Adding our sister company, d-lightdesign (an independent lighting design company) to our service offering allowed us to make the first inroads into the home automation markets, particularly into whole house lighting control. It also allowed us to provide a one stop shop for our clients, we can now provide a full design and installation solution, providing electrical installations, lighting design, home automation systems, multi room audio visual, AV integration and energy control.
Coming more up to date, we have added another three employees to our workforce allowing us to run several projects at the same time. We have expanded our Home Automation offering to include the supply and fit of systems like RAKO, Lutron, Crestron and Control 4 to name but a few.
We recently completed a property that went onto win the West of England LABC Building Excellence Awards for the “Best Individual Dwelling”. We provided the entire electrical installation including heating controls for an Air Source Heat Pump, all the lighting controls, light fittings, and a whole house audio and video distribution solution using NuVo. Added to this was an Intruder alarm system integrated with a CCTV solution.
The next few years will see us expand into the whole house control market with energy management becoming an increasing issue that our clients will want solutions for. Integration will be a key area in new housing design with all services connected together with a central control system using either a network enabled TV, iPhone/iPad or standalone control panels.
