Elaine Wannechko received her MFA in Drawing and Inter-media at the University of Alberta, Canada, in June 2008. She is currently teaching at the University and is also experienced in gallery prepatorial work.

Wannechko has been exhibiting in Canada and internationally while completing her education. She is highly involved with her local art community, volunteering at artist-run-centers and collaborating with local artists.
