I'm a hydrologist by trade (that's calculating flows of water over land and underground and writing endless boring reports about it).

My camera is a Fujifilm finepix s5600, which is much better than I've ever had and already not quite good enough... ;) When I get rich I'll get an SLR. All my pictures are of things I see in daily life - none of them (apart from the pixel pixies) are contrived in any way and the light is what is there naturally.

My hobbies are paragiding (although not for a while - waiting for ankle to heal) , narrowboats and power boats, training as a crew member of the Severn Area Rescue Association www.sara-rescue.org.uk, fixing my morris minor, gardening, hill-walking, finding old abandoned orchards and making myself ill on booty.. etc etc... Travelled the world as a child and then came back to grow up in Cornwall, lived in North Wales for 6 years, Manchester and Midlands for brief time and now live in Gloucestershire, where i think I'll stay for a while ;)
