Greetings. My name is Doug Fireman. My handle is 'namerif13. I live in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Being a retired high school teacher I have a lot of time for unscheduled activities. I enjoy reading, playing the guitar, yoga, writing poetry, travelling, spending time with my rock

collection, and of course photography.

What an exciting site, this Flickr. It is truly a treasure chest. Such talent! So many outstanding photographers and artists. Hoping to meet you soon. Wishing you all the best.

Doug, I want to thank you for taking such powerful, beautiful, undescribable photographs. You never cease to amaze me. I thank you for inspiring me to be so much more in life than just a photographer, but rather someone who changes the way people look at the world through a photograph. -Jaci Berkopec (Spying on the Streets Photography)

EL says:

His photos attest to it, and his commentaries on my floral shots support it - Doug has an astoundingly, uncannily artistic eye which sees the subliminal picture within the picture with clarity. And to round it off, he is able to express his sightings with poetic eloquence.
