There are a lot of fabulous photographers posting their work on Flickr. I can't think of a single one that so consistently posts perfection. No matter the subject, if Eric photographs it, it's a masterpiece. He should publish books of his work for sure. I say it all the time...I'm in awe of his talent and mastery of wildlife and landscape photography. It's a joy to view his work and an honor to have him as a friend.

I am biased right off the bat here because he is my uncle, but he is one of the most gifted artists and knowledgeable birders I know. As a veterinarian he provides knowledge of anatomy and flight mechanics and as an active birder for over 25 years he has great knowledge of birds, from their songs to their habits/behavior to their favored habitats. As a photographer there is no end to his passion,which is incredibly contagious. His recent interest in macro photography has only fueled the flames and I am constantly amazed by what he finds. His bird carvings are exquisitely detailed and accurate and his skill as a painter translates into how he mentally composes and puts thought into his photographs before he ever presses the shutter. Eric shares his knowledge with others openly, provides honest and valuable critiques, and wants to learn as much from others as he can. He is fast to make friends and knows more jokes than anyone I have ever known (though not all of them are really worth remembering). I thoroughly enjoy every time we get together and I always seem to get better photos when I'm with him. If you joined Flickr to share knowledge, get/give critiques, and make friends then you won't find anyone better than Eric.
