Hi, my name is Edgaras Zvirblys from the beautiful coastal city of Klaipeda in Lithuania. I am currently living in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland where I am studying for my degree in IT Creative Multimedia in Limerick School of Art and Design (Clonmel Campus).

I speak three languages. I am fluent in Lithuanian and Russian and I also have an excellent grasp both written and verbal of English. I have always had a passion for creativity, culture and travel and from an early age I knew it would lead to me living, studying and working abroad to develop my skills.

I came to Ireland in 2004 after finishing my second level education. I chose to make my home here because as well as being an English speaking country it is also a world renowned place of culture and art.

My initial years in Ireland coincided with the “Boom” and the “Celtic Tiger” and with work plentiful I spent this time travelling and exploring this extraordinary country, all the while working and improving my English.

In 2010 I made the decision to return to education. I chose the Creative Multimedia course in LSAD because it exposed me to a wide range of skills in the area of Digital Design. The college is also recognized, both nationally and internationally, as a center of excellence.

I have learned many new skills while in college and I have a keen interest in the areas of Web Design, Programming and Videography but from the moment I got my first DSLR camera I fell in love with photography and this is the area in which I would like to pursue my future career.

I love shooting subject material across several genres especially Landscapes, Nature and Fine Art. I am also currently developing my skills in the area of Portrait photography. I enjoy applying different post production techniques such as High Dynamic Range (HDR) to images as it can lead to interesting and sometimes spectacular results.

My work has already been recognized and I have had my photographs displayed in college exhibitions where I have won several awards across various categories. My proudest moment to date occurred when one of my photographs was chosen from thousands of international entries as a semifinalist in the 2012 Adobe Design Achievement Awards. Despite not winning, this was still a huge honor for me and I received an Adobe Semifinalist Certificate.

I am finished my college degree in 2014 and I am looking forward to further developing my career by working with interesting and creative people in an environment that challenges and encourages me.
