I am freelance photojournalist based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Born on September 13, 1968 in Ponorogo East Java, Indonesia. Began career as a photojournalist after attending a photojournalistic workshop at Antara Photojournalistic Gallery in 1998, covering news and features in Indonesian and the countries nearby. I have completed assignments for various local and International Medias as well as NGOs such as UNICEF, UN World Food Programs(WFP), CARE International, International Organization for Migration (IOM), Austrian SOS kinderdorf, among others. My journalistic works have appeared in publication including, Time Asia, Newsweek, The New York Times, National Geographic Indonesia, The Australian, Mens World, Asian Wall Street Journal, Asian Geographic, International Samenwerking Netherland, Marie France, FEM Business Netherland, Volkskrant magazine Netherland, Bloomberg News. In the year of 2000 I got an award for the book project entitled “Dawn of the 21st Century”. In November 2005, I exhibited my first personal photo project “Rel Waktu” at Antara Photojournalistic Gallery. I also a teacher at Panna Institute of Photography in Jakarta, and give some seminars and lectures of photojournalistic at some universities in Indonesia.
