Started my love in photography in the late 80s using Canon-AE1 35mm SLR with 50mm prime & 35-105mm zoom lens, Since I was an expatriate based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia then, I traveled around the world with that cam from middle east, Europe (London, Amsterdam, Madrid, etc), USA, Seoul, Manila and back to Riyadh). It was the tour of a life time. Re-settled in Cebu City, Philippines just before the first Gulf War broke out. Became an entrepreneur, my professional skills in electrical engineering is my core competence and electrical engineering services as my business. Packed my 35mm SLR hobby in those years but was re-ignited by digital SLR. I started with Canon P&S and picked up the Canon 400D as my first DSLR. Canon 40D became my upgrade and lived with it for about a year. I made the very big jump for Full Frame last year. I waited and waited for the launching of 5D2, I was in Cleveland, Ohio when 5D2 was launched officially. I'd read and listened to its review for a while but after a careful deliberation, I decided to settle for D700. I think both of them are good but D700 made me comfortable and happy with. Presently shooting with it, bought Tom Hogan's D700 guide and learned how to use the new equipment as quickly as I could. Learning the art of photography is a journey and I'd like to journey it with you if you let me. For me, I have not tapped the full potential of this cam, it is so powerful that kept me searching all the time. At the moment, I am mostly using the 24-70mm f2.8 lens, I also appreciated the performance of my new 70-200mm f2.8VR1 lens. My 50mm f1.4 is also a performer. This hobby is pretty expensive that put my golf aside, though I still play once in a while. Due to my business I get to travel around Asia and US once in a while, my D700 is part and parcel of my travel. Naturally, landscape, indoor museums shoots are normal to my travel. I think this would be the direction of my photography, though I am also interested in other areas like portrait and events. My travel has exposed me to cultures around the world, the scenery of the places that I have traveled is a treasure for me. I would like to share my photos to anybody who is willing to do the same. Mind you, we can not travel to every corner of this earth but sharing pictures will let you do so. I do hope to find friends around the world through photo sharing. Please feel free to share your happy moments with me through this medium, the Flickr.

See you Around. Ciao

Edwin is a very nice guy and a good photographer. He don't play arround so much, just make good pics. He traveled a lot so he is very open and frank to people coming from abroad. Different cultures are no problem for him, no he enjoy learning about them. Edwin, thank you very much for welcoming me at PCC that way...
