I’ve always been very crafty/artsy but didn’t know anyone who could teach me knitting or crocheting. I tried learning from the knitting books at the library when I was younger, but everything in them made my head swim so I quickly gave-up on that idea.

In Nov ‘07, I was at the bookstore and was reading through Debbie Stoller’s “Stitch ‘N Bitch” when it just clicked. I bought the book, picked-up some needles (I already had the yarn), went home and started the “Go-Go Garter Stitch Scarf”. That book is amazing for beginners and I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have a knitting-sensei around.

I have since fallen in love with knitting and have dabbled with crochet. I also like beading, painting, drawing, writing… the list goes on. Basically, anything that has to do with making/creating something.
