Born in Indianapolis, Indiana. Spent my childhood in Northern Michigan. Became a musician. Gave up. Went to college. Studied music. Quit. Studied psychology. Quit. Studied biochemistry. Quit. Studied philosophy. Stuck it out. Became a musician again. Graduated. Studied for Indiana State pharmacy tech boards. Passed. Became an I.V. Technician. Recorded an album with a famous producer. Made a lot of mistakes. Hurt a lot of people. Signed a record contract. Recorded another album. Played the Vans Warped Tour. Gave up again. Became a chemotherapy technician. Quit. Became a film producer. Made an award-winning short film. Gave up. Got really fat. Ran away to Japan. Everything changed.

Became a teacher. Got back in shape. Said “yes” to every opportunity and did some truly amazing things as a result. Met the love of my life. Ran a full marathon. Started writing a novel. Haven’t given up. Became a musician a third time. Haven’t given up. Married the love of my life. Moved to Kobe. Took a job teaching at a medical college in Sanda.
