Our Mission:

The mission of Education And More is to further the education of the children in the Lake Atitlan area of Guatemala and to reduce the poverty of their families and communities through implementation of Fair Trade practices with artisan groups thereby helping them to lift themselves out of poverty.

The artisan weavings and handcrafts that are sold by Education And More are made by

several artisan groups in the villages around Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. We have formed a

partnership with these groups and work with them using Fair Trade guidelines.

Education And More is a proud member of the Fair Trade Federation!

Education And More is also partnering with Christian churches to help educate the children in the rural areas of western Guatemala. Many children in Guatemala are able to attend school for only 1-2 years before leaving because of a lack of money and needing to help the family earn an income.
