I studied photography at the International Center of Photography, and did extensive darkroom work, on my own and with my mentor, the late Michael P. Smith.

My photos have appeared in the New York Review of Books, Negative Capability, Gambit Weekly, Offbeat, The Oxford American, The Tulanian, Jazz Improv, Vibes and other publications, as well as online guidebooks and on the HBO show "Treme." My work has been exhibited in New Orleans and New York City.

I favor available light photography with fast glass on my Nikon, Leica, and Fuji.
