Hello and welcome to my Flickr pages. My name is Lee Edgson

I live in Cornwall UK. I’m a self-taught photographer and I’ve been taking motorsport pictures for many years. I first started taking sports images for the local newspaper covering a wide range of sports including football, rugby, cricket, etc. I had two happy years gaining experience in taking publishable images, but my passion has always been

with motorsport.

I’ve been hooked on motor racing from a very young age watching formula 1 on television. I went to my first Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone when I was 14 in 1987. Since then I’ve been to Formula 1 events in France, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Hungary and Italy. In 2004 I won an amateur photographic competition open to the readers of Formula 1 magazine. I beat thousands of entries from different countries to be judged the best image winning the top prize of an Olympus digital SLR body and lens kit worth £2,000 at the time.

I am a Canon user and I have an extensive range of professional Canon digital SLR body’s and lenses. I opened my flickr account in 2010 primarily to showcase some of the images I took in 2010 and in previous years. In the hope that motorsport agencies and track organizers would offer me access to events. All the 2010 and earlier track images you have or are about to see have been taken with no press accreditation. 2011 was a productive year moving forward gaining press accreditation to some British events. In 2012 my goals are to get my images published. Thank you for choosing my photostream I hope you will enjoy looking at my images as much as I have enjoyed taking them.
