Ed works as a museum learning officer at Bristol's Museums, Galleries and Archives by day and in his own time leads bird courses, talks, walks, boat trips and gets involved with bird ringing studies. He has previously worked for the RSPB in Bristol and still does the commentary on the Avocet Cruises on the Exe Estuary and occasional freelance work for the charity. Recently, Ed's research work on the diet of urban-dwelling Peregrines has been published in British Birds and BBC Wildlife magazine and had national coverage in the media. Ed has recently been a reporter for BBC Radio 4's World on the Move with pieces on the aquatic warbler, migrating and spawning salmon and wintering redwings. Other exciting adventures recently have included looking for wild wolves in north Spain for Naturetrek and wildlife watching in the Gambia and New Zealand.
