Photography is full of contradictions.

Noisy, blown whites, clipping shadows, out of focus, motion blur.. but none of that matters if the photograph has character and atmosphere.

These are really important because it's about telling that story and capturing that moment.

So.. shoot sharp images; shoot soft images. Use a polarizer; don't use a polarizer. Travel. Explore. Shoot local. Develop your own style. Try new things. Follow the rules; don't follow the rules. The truth, is it's all about what happens in that moment, that split-second when you press the shutter and capture what's in front of you, or your interpretation of what's in front of you.

And the most important.. don't shoot for anybody other than yourself.
