E.B.Gallardo Ethnography: Exploring The City One Mercurial Moment At A Time

My name is Elizabeth A. Burbach Gallardo. I am an urban ethnographer based in New York City. I study city culture and cultures in the city. I listen to the people, places, things, and activities of the city and tell their stories.

My specialty is the Street. I’m interested in what I call an ‘Aesthetics of the City’: the artful, ingenious, and often unpredictable ways we humans and the city interact, negotiate, make ourselves heard, create value, carve out a little space and comfort, and in so doing impact one another.

My aim is to bring to light what we may overlook. To celebrate what we may take for granted. To remind us to take a good look around and to fully engage who and what we see and experience.
