I am so glad that I have gotten to know Marty. He has a unique way at looking at things, he is sensitive, funny, always interesting, and really sees things as they are, you can feel his passion for photography and he also has a way with words, always tells a little tale with every photo and makes it so interesting that you can't wait for his next shot and story!!!! I am so honored to have the opportunity to write a little something about Marty. I have only been a flickr bud with Marty for a very short time, but I think his work and creativity has struck a chord with me unlike any other photographer I have stumbled across. Marty achieves what I think is the essence of photography. He captures the story. He not only photographs with amazing talent, but with the emotion that the picture deserves. When I look at his photos, I feel like I have met the person, or visited the location. That is is so important to me, as anyone can simply take a picture. In addition, Marty is so complimentary and he truly appreciates the work others do as well. We are all learning, and I am so thankful that I have Marty to share this passion with. If I had to describe Marty’s ‘stream with one word it would be: “stunningly original.” Oops, that’s two! How about “wonderfully whimsical” . . . hmmm, that’s still two. I’d have to say his work is full of beauty and reverence (this is getting hard!!) You see my point: his work is so wonderful, it’s hard to describe. And Marty himself is a photographer with real vision (while I just snap pictures!!). I’ve only been a contact for a short time, but I already love getting messages when Marty puts something new up. I drop whatever I’m doing to check out his new upload --much to the chagrin of my business partner!!
