I'm a scientist by training, a writer by accident, and a musician by night. I live in the UK, but I'm Dutch by birth and passport and unofficially Canadian by prolonged exposure to Toronto. None of that should matter to you if you're just checking out my Flickr pages, but it might explain some of my photos.

I also run the Easternblot - Images of Science group, where you can add your science-related photos. I used to put these on a blog that I no longer update, but now it's just a standalone collection.

Finally, I'm famous in Chicago. Well, not really, but a photo I took was in an ad campaign there, and I instructed my Chicago-based internet friend Heather to keep an eye out for it, and she found it!
