Gary is a first a fine photographer who works very hard at getting great images. He is also knowledgeable about his subject matter -- the birds of south Florida, and he has the eye to find the best images in new places and subject matter. But mostly I appreciate Gary's willingness to share information with a visiting photographer (me) and lead me to one of the finest two hours of shooting I've enjoyed in a long time: burrowing owls in a most unlikely place.
