Drag to set position!
Hello, I'm Brian. In my photography work, I go by Earth Heritage Designs. I'm an enthusiast amateur continually inspired by human’s place in the natural world. The name “Earth Heritage” reflects my deep appreciation for Earth’s natural bounty and my belief that cultural heritage is profoundly shaped by nature and by our experiences within it. Through photography of human and natural landscapes, botanical subjects, and wildlife, I try to express those values.
I began taking pictures with an Instamatic-style 126 film camera and later moved on to 35mm film. Today I work with digital cameras. For many years I used Pentax APS-C DSLR bodies; now I shoot primarily with the 61-megapixel full-frame Sony A7R V (ILCE-7RM5). I also spend considerable time post-processing scanned 35mm slides and negatives, as well as images of three-dimensional objects—especially plant structures.
Professionally, I’m retired from academia, where I served as a professor of Latin American Studies, Environmental and Sustainability Science, and Geography, and as a manager/director in Latin American Studies and Sustainability programs. I’ve maintained lifelong connections to many diverse regions across Latin America and parts of the United States, which continue to influence my photographic interests.
I hope others find something meaningful in my work.
Thanks for the 3.5 million views!
Best regards,
Brian

Tout est tellement joli et poétique ♥
Brian Kermath takes some of the best photos found on Flickr! I enjoy looking at Wisconsin and areas that he visits as he finds interesting places to photograph. His processing image editing and tones are superb and really add so much to viewing them.
