Hello, I'm Brian. I go by "Earth Heritage Designs" in my photography endeavors. I'm an amateur photographer, an "enthusiast" amateur one might say. The "Earth Heritage" in my username emanates from a profound appreciation and love for Earth's natural bounty. I believe that cultural heritage is shaped by nature and our experience as part of nature. I try to express my views and values through the photography of human and natural landscapes and settings, botany and wildlife. I have had a lifelong connection to the vast and diverse regions of Latin America as well as the United States.

Although I started practicing photography with an "Instamatic-like" 126mm film camera and later 35mm film cameras, today I work with digital cameras. I used Pentax APSc (crop sensor), interchangeable-lens DSLR cameras for many years. I now use the 61mp full frame Sony A7RV (or technically the ILCE-7RM5) camera. I also have worked considerably with the post-processing of scanned 35mm slide and negative film and three-dimensional objects, most notably parts of plants.

Professionally I am retired from academia as a professor of Latin American Studies, Environmental and Sustainability Science and Geography and a manager/director in programs of Latin American Studies and Sustainability.

I hope that my photography is of interest to others.

Thanks for the more than 3.3 million views!

Best regards,

Brian

Brian Kermath takes some of the best photos found on Flickr! I enjoy looking at Wisconsin and areas that he visits as he finds interesting places to photograph. His processing image editing and tones are superb and really add so much to viewing them.
