You can find more about me, such as my other online identities, on my profile page.
Traveller, New Yorker addict, Mainer, father, husband, and sometime photographer.
My absolute favorite Flickr photos get blogged.
Some of the photographers I admire (in no particular order other than Flickr first):
, Phitar (whom I knew in a former life)
And the famous Brazilian photographer, Sebastião Salgado
Currently shooting
Konica Minolta 5D with a 50mm 1.7f prime lens, the stock kit lens, and a 70-200mm zoom.
Past cameras I have owned and loved include the Olympus 2100UZ (most of my travel shots) and a Canon Powershot S1. Those two cameras started my interest in photography.
About Processing
I shoot in RAW mode, which requires that every shot to be post-processed. Should I ever tweak an image past this point, I will indicate it with a tag.
I use Lightroom to process my RAW photos. Heavier manipulation may be done in the GIMP. I sometimes use Exifer to improve EXIF info, and FlickrUploadr or jUploadr do the rest.
My international travel photos were taken on a 20 month RTW backpack trip in 2000-2001. The roadtrip photos are from 2002. My son was born in May 2005, bringing a whole new perspective on photography! More of my photos can also be seen at my website (desperately needs a makeover) where they are organized by country. Gradually more will appear on Flickr!
