I haven't uploaded anything for almost 10 years, until now in 2023. I have still been building however. I am mostly preparing for a large French village diorama, set just prior to the German invasion in 1940. I have all the vehicles built (support vehicle pics coming soon), and now I'm at the hardest part of getting a multi-baseplate diorama to start coming together.
It's good to be back on Flickr, and I'm enjoying checking out everyone's creations here. It's been a long time!
My build rules:
*Minifig scale to me is 6-studs wide for standard vehicles (cars, light trucks) and 6-wide cab with 8-wide chassis on semi trucks.
*No modified parts on vehicles other than occasional cut rods and tubing, rubber bands and decals.
*No clone brands permitted for vehicles and structures
*Minifigs get modified weapons, brickarms, and other custom goodies if there's no satisfactory purist method
*External scale & detail is the primary goal, with functionality, playability and fitting a minifig inside close behind in priority
*Tracked vehicles: tracks must be free to move, but road wheels do not need to turn (acceptable trade-off at minifig scale)
*Wheeled vehicles must have free spinning wheels
*"Illegal" connections are fine as long as they hold together and don't break the piece. Creativity is the whole point, so if it sticks or clicks, it's good.
