About Doreen Vollo:

 

Long Islander Doreen Vollo was bit by the desiging bug when she was 16 years old and knew she had found her calling. She later earned her degree from the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design in Plainview and also studied at Parsons the New School for Design. Over the years, she has worked for such industry giants as Detroit Furniture, Ethan Allen and Maurice Villency before opening her own design business, Doreen Vollo Interiors, in 1983.

 

Based in East Setauket, N.Y., Doreen Vollo Interiors is a full-service interior design firm specializing in window treatments, decorative accessories, wallpaper and carpentry, such as crown mouldings and architectural woodworking. Doreen has extensive experience with both residential and commercial projects throughout the tri-state area, mainly on Long Island, and can work within any reasonable budget. she is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the Interior Design Society.

 

Additionally, Doreen offers convenient shop-at-home services as well as one-of-a-kind design sense. "Design is my passion," says Doreen. "I don't like to duplicate my work. That's very important to me. I try to keep every job unique. I'll be as creative as my clients will let me be."
