Probably like most people, I've been a point and shoot photographer for a while before I bought my first DSLR in January 2009. Since then I've been learning and exploring new techniques more seriously to improve my skills.
Having the gears is one thing, experimenting and studying the result to get an understanding of what I like and how I can develop my own style is quite another thing.
When taking a photo, I've always considered how I can shot a subject differently. Besides shooting the regulars, I try to come up with a fresh and unique perspective every time I click the shutter.
Obviously, there's still a lot of learning to do. But the best part is, it doesn't feel like work when fun is part of the learning process.
