Just to quickly introduce myself, I started with photography around 1986, at the age of 16, when I got my first SLR, the Fujica ST605n. Since then, I've used a Pentax spotmatic, a fuij finepix P&S, and Nikon F3. Four years ago, in April 2008, I got my Nikon D300, along with the 18-200VR lense. At the beginning of this year, I bought the Nikon 80-400 4:5-5.6D telezoom, and a second hand Nikon D3 body. Despite these new and awesome tools, the D300 remains a favorite, which I'm actually still using the most. I'm still planning to buy a wide angle for the D3, to complete my set of lenses. I don't really consider myself a specialist in any specific area in photography, but do like to find interesting patterns, either in nature or in human made enironments. I'm also interested in nighttime photography, and anything related to nature. I strongly prefer to work with naturally available light, but do occasionally use a little bit of fill-flash.
I'm not a professional photographer, but instead make my living as a researcher / lecturer in psychology. One of the courses I teach covers visual perception, so there is a bit of a link there though.
