Dundee City Archives holds the records of Dundee City Council and its predecessors including the Town Council. We also hold records of other institutions, businesses, families, charities and people who are connected to Dundee. Find out more about the archives on our website: www.dundeecity.gov.uk/archive.

On our Flickr site we aim to share images from our collections that may be of interest to both Dundonians and people around the world. We share images that were taken by Council departments (therefore we hold the copyright), and from collections where the copyright was donated to the Archives. We also share images where the copyright has expired or where no copyright owner can be traced. If the copyright holder can subsequently be identified we will remove images unless given permission by the copyright holder. If you hold the copyright of any images on our pages and would like us to remove it, please let us know as soon as possible.

We upload low resolution versions of our images. These are good enough quality to view the image online. If you would like a high resolution copy of an image please email us on archives@dundeecity.gov.uk.
