A few Notes about our Work

This is a *family* collection. Photographs from 2004 onwards are *selected* items from a variety of digital cameras (no SLR or professional equipment), and routinely receive minor software enhancement.

Photographs prior to 2004 have been scanned from analog originals - mostly colour positives (slides), plus some colour negatives. These are usually uploaded straight from the scanning service, though some are tweaked to correct for incorrect exposure. For various reasons, our analog photos from earlier years lack the quality of the modern digital work. We have chosen to preserve *all passable images*: at times there is a significant amount of repetition.

In general, the Web, has plenty of images from 2000 onward, but many fewer from earlier years. We believe that parts of our collection, dating from the 1970s onward, may have historical value for specific visitors.
