I got my first camera at the age of 12 by faking the result of a long-distance flying ballon contest (I kept the nice balloon and wheedled my aunt Mariechen, wo was on a visit at our house that week, into sending the postcard back from her home town in Schleswig-Holstein). I won the 3rd price - a Polaroid camera. Since then I am ... addicted.
October 15th, 2009 - As mentioned before, I absolutely don't approve self-promoting "visit my stream" badges in a comment. Since my polite requests to edit those comments don't seem to be of any avail, I'll delete them from now on.
May 28, 2009 - In the light of recent events: Please comment with words, not with huge glittering gifs! I'm also not a fan of "visit my recent photos on flickriver" - badges in a comment. Thank you!

Oct 17, 2008 - Not the first time, but due to recent occurrences: Please respect my copyright!! "All rights reserved" means no copying, printing, publishing etc of my photo's without prior permission.
I've found my pictures in the strangest places, but today it was just too much. For this reason the "original size" button is no longer available for any flickr user but now only for my contacts. What a shame. I feel sorry for every honest user.
Oh, and if you want to use on of my pictures in your blog, please write me a short note. Most probably I will be glad to give permission.

Kennt ihr die Chicken Sisters? Karin hält auf unverwechselbare Art und Weise das Leben dieser knuddeligen Geschöpfe fest. Die Kompositionen rund um die Chicken Sisters stellen für mich immer wieder ein echtes Highlight hier auf Flicker dar. Neben diesen Arbeiten, überzeugt mich Karins Foto Stream aber auch durch kreative, neue Sichtweisen auf alltägliche Gegenstände und Situationen. Diese kreativen Ideen sind für mich Denkanstoß, bestimmte Motive auch mal ein wenig "anders" anzugehen. Natürlich darf ich an dieser Stelle auch nicht unterschlagen, dass Karin eine unheimlich nette und vor allem kommunikative Flickerianerin ist, deren witzige Kommentare über die üblichen Einzeiler hinausgehen. Having become a regular follower of Karin's photostream, her works continue to impress me. She has an eye for great motifs and compositions. And then, even better, she has a great hand in putting several of these pictures together into wonderful mosaics, which are always very well thought out.

Karin is a generous photographer! Her photos show and unveil so many important details. She covers various themes all done with such delicacy! Her step-by-step photo tutorial recipes are amazing and the food looks delicious! Her work is very inspiring! :)
