I've been interested in photography since high school, but have been trying to take it a step further. I'm looking to learn as much as I can from friendly and serious criticism, and also from studying other people's photos and techniques. I love to travel, go camping and hiking, and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I also confess to spending (maybe) too much time with my nose in a variety of books and magazines. Music and movies also rank high on my list.

Most of my time, tho, is spent homeschooling my four kids. The younger three have never set foot in a traditional school (what I like to call "the box") This lifestyle works for us as it gives us the freedom to learn our own way, at our own pace, without all the stress and overly busy schedules that most people have these days.
