His images evoke a sense of place and you really feel as if you are standing in the image itself which is a true nod to his talent and his emotional connection with the viewer. I especially love his seaside images. He takes me to a place I don't get to see everyday and I find that I stare at their beauty and feel the calmness they provide at the end of a long day. I recently started taking landscape/seascape photos. While I was searching on Flickr for landscape images of the Northwest, Darren's photos caught my attention. His photos are like a travel quide to the Northwest Coast. I didn't think Oregon was any interesting until I saw these amazing photos. I especially enjoy his water shots. Moving water, still water, waterfalls... he portrays them in with various exposure time to capture the best display. I look forward to more of his gorgeous images. Cynthia

Where to start, I found him using a Flickr search on waterfalls and instantly feel in love with his work. I don't know how he does it but he can capture his image with such beauty and ease it has inspired me to become a more "natural" photographer, less editing in Adobe in other words. Everyday there is something new to learn from him, if you're not his contact you sure are missing out. My thanks are to him, for I wouldn't look at nature in the ways I do now if it wasn't for his inspirational photos.
