Gear DOES matter, but it is not the most important aspect of making a good photo. The photographer’s artistic vision and what they are trying to communicate with their photograph are of utmost importance and fundamental to a good photograph.

Today, I shoot with full-frame (FF) and APSC cameras and across systems: Sony FF/APSC, Canon FF/APSC, Lumix FF. DJI, GoPro, and Kodak digital (yep still own one). My primary cameras are mirrorless FF Sony (60/42/33/24 MP) and Lumix mirrorless (44 MP max.) ... and my iPhone.

In my exhibits, I always sneak in a 20x16 image shot by an iPhone and ask the audience to guess which one it was it. Everyone has fun guessing which one of the 20x16 photos was shot by the iPhone.

I love making and displaying large images, and one of my museum photos was displayed at 96 inches wide (96x24).
