Yes it is me, Dr. Khalid Farooq a veterinary graduate having M. Phil in microbiology. I did my matriculation in 1994 and FSc in 1996. I passed the degree Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English literature from University of Peshawar in 1998. I got admission in Sindh Agriculture University and got the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Animal Husbandary (AH) in 2003. In 2005 I got the degree of M.Phil in Microbiology from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad.

I am working with CABI an international 100 years old organization at its South Asia Office since Jan. 2006. I was assigned to train livestock farmers on bes livestock and poultry practices. I have trained 900 farmers in Malakand Division of NWFP, Pakistan and 300 female livestock farmers in Chakhama, earthquake area of Muzafarabad AJK. I am the pioneer of of running livestock ToT and FFS of female participants.

My areas of expertise are livestock extension and research, handling of poultry pathogens, facilitation skills, farmers field schools (FFS) approach, imparting trainings to male and female livestock extension workers (TOF/ TOT), project development, rural development, reports write-up and monitoring and evaluation. I have published academic books and booklets at university level also. I remained as the Chief patron and editor of literary and scientific magazines (Agrarian’s voice and Trimester Hamsafar magazine). I have also established an NGO named OMEED (Organization for Rural Development) in 2005. I had active participation in students politics at University Level.

Since 8th June, 2009 I am working as a Project Manager in Kunduz province of Afghanistan.
