My name is Dr. Atip Asvanund. I am currently working in Bangkok, Thailand. I spent 15 years in the United States, receiving undergraduate degrees from University of Chicago and graduate degrees from Carnegie Mellon University. I published quite a few papers while I was a PhD students. If I can set aside some time, I may start writing again.

I am currently Head of Strategic Projects & Innovation at True Corporation, a full convergence telecom, data & content provider in Thailand. My role is to keep up with new innovations, and to seek out partners who can strengthen our position. Feel free to contact me if you would like to be our partner.

I began teaching E-Business courses to MBA students at NIDA this year. It is quite refreshing to meet bright young students, and I probably learn more than I give away by teaching. I quite enjoy it. It is a good contrast to the experience I have at work.

My interest in photography began with formal education in high-school, back in the days of films and darkrooms. Things have become a lot more convenient with digital photography, although I always miss that certain essence of film. I recently switched back to films and rediscovered happiness in photography using rangefinder cameras. My current collections are Zeiss Ikon, Xpan and Rollei 35 RF. I am particularly fond of Carl Zeiss lenses and Sonar designs.
