I started taking pictures in the spring of 2007, doing a basic photography course with my old film 35mm (a Minolta SRT 202) and doing the B+W prints by hand. I always have a Canon P&S in my bag (the Ixus 70) but I'm now in love with my Canon 40d DSLR. I'm itching to take loads of photos with it, if only I can get the time...

My favourite genres of photography are portraiture and streetlife/documentary. I'm still building my confidence though.

Lens-wise, I've got a canon 17-85mm IS, canon 50mm/1.8, canon 100mm/2.8 macro and canon 10-22mm. I'm coveting the canon 70-200mm/2.8 IS but I'll be making no more purchases for at least a year now due to extreme poverty.
