I can trace the photography bug to my Great Grandfather who did it professionally in the early 1900's in Hungary. Family Lore indicates that I started taking pictures with a little Kodak Brownie at about the age of 7, through a stage with a 120 mm camera. The same lore also seems to indicate that I may have shot a few with my late Father's Exacta. In my teens, I received a Pentax Spotmatic and shot with it until I received a Pentax SuperProgram back in the '80s. I started with digital in 2004, with a Nikon D70, two kit lenses, and a flash. These days, my camera of choice is my Nikon D850, although I still use the D800 & D300 as backups. I know that I will never go back to film.
Since arriving on Flickr, what now seems ages ago, the acceptance of my photography by the site's members was totally unexpected and still humbles me. As our lives move forward, so does the ebb and flows of the many friendships I have made on Flickr. Thank you all for the journey! This journey also necessitated the writing of "Take Note", which I urge you to read, if you wish to understand me.

When I first joined Flickr I was brand-new to the computer world. He helped me figure out how to make my way in the Flickr community, answered all of my technical questions, and most importantly gave me friendly advice about an innocent photo (to me anyway) ,of my grandaughter that could have drastic consequences on the internet! I'm not as naive as I was then & can get around pretty easily, but I wouldn't hesitate to ask for his help if I needed it.
