I got into Flickr in 2007 via what used to be Yahoo Photos. My wife and I are transplanted from our extended families so an online photo website allowed us to share events and experiences with them. I'm not a Flickr addict, but what started casually and sporadically has resulted in nearly 20,000 uploaded pictures and over two million views from family, friends, contacts, and the general public.

Many of my pictures are from vacations. There are some albums closer to our home in Marietta (West Cobb), Georgia, and greater Atlanta. Almost all of my pictures are captioned and are well organized in albums and collections.

One fun aspect of Flickr has been people around the world contacting me for more information about particular pictures or areas we have visited. I welcome comments and inquiries as well as new contacts.

We're also using Flickr to preserve old family photos and events from decades past. Some of these albums are only available for family members to view.

Occasionally, I have granted permission to NONPROFIT online and print publications to use some of my pictures. I DO expect attribution and proof of that. Occasionally, I have sold some pictures for commercial magazine articles and book covers. I expect payment for any commercial use. To contact me, use Flickr mail.
