Joined Flickr in the early days. At the time Flickr was one of the first social web sites for folk discovering photography (with digital cameras, mostly).

Had signed up for Facebook when it was still mostly college students. (Someone said it was interesting. It was not.) My Flickr contacts mostly moved over to Facebook in the late-2000s. Since then Flickr is more like a ghost town. Got tired of Facebook many years back and dropped off. As a technology-guy, I can describe how a meaningful social web should be based on metrics of trust, and is very possible. Not sure if I want to tilt at that windmill.

Now retired, and working to convert my house to a mad-scientist lair. :)

Fair warning - with some folks every picture they put up is a gem. For my purposes - every picture I might want to share (family, friends, whatever) goes up on Flickr. That means the value in each picture may be less than immediately apparent. :)

Pretty much dropped off social media.
