Dimitris Dranidis
Drag to set position!
When I was younger I used to have a Minolta X700. Lovely camera! I really enjoyed shooting and had thousands of negatives and photos.
Then the digital camera era came and I bought a point and shoot camera (Canon Powershot something). I continued shooting a lot of photos but did not enjoy so much the experience. Probably due to the low quality of the images. At some point the camera sensor gave up and I gave up too.
Recently, (March 2009) I bought a DSLR (Olympus E-520) and I rediscovered my old joy in shooting pictures. Then I found Flickr and the Flickr community and the joy got stronger.
I love taking pictures and sharing them with my Flickr friends.

OLYMPUS DZK bag (This bag is a small wonder... Everybody wonders how do a DSLR and two zoom lenses and lots more fit in there... love it.. Highly recommended!)
Things I like about Flickr:
It motivates me to improve my photography skills... at least I try to shoot better shots...
Everyday I visit a gallery of amazing photos and I get inspired.
Things I DO NOT like about Flickr:
Takes a lot of time to keep up with your contacts' photos and comment on them (I have to shorten my contact list).
I cannot understand how Explore works... makes absolutely no sense to me... some of my best shots never made it to Explore while some others (not so deserving) reached high positions.
