After exploring many creative routes such as acting and poetry to name a few, I began to explore photography as a realm of image making. With photography I felt I could express myself thoroughly and freely through the use of visual images. I was interested in challenging myself by evoking emotions and situations through a single still image with no subtitles, moving image or speech.

I have been interested in fashion from a young age, as my mother was a seamstress and I was always surrounded by clothes, textiles and prints. In my work I have tried to address the concept of fashion being used as a tool of transformation and the adoption of an identity and character different to one's own.
