I've had a camera since I was 11 years old - a Box Brownie as I recall. I've lost count of the number I've had since then.

I take pictures all the time and am glad I do: my now-adult kids adore poring over images of themselves as babies.

I try to capture the image I want as I click and rarely Photoshop after the fact ... OK I crop but that's about it.

Current tools include a Nikon Coolpix L16 p&s; an Olympus T20 (tough for field trips), a Nikon D40, and its replacement a Nikon D5600, and a Panasonic DMC-TZ10. I tend to take most of my shots these days on my iPhone SE. My favourites DSLR lenses now are a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 and 18-70mm f/1-3.5-4.5
