I am a New Zealand Photographer, born and raised in Auckland; which is sometimes commonly referred to as 'the city of sails' or 'the big smoke' and is pretty much a global hub nowadays. The thing about Auckland is that the beach is literally only minutes away. The Waitakere Ranges is a perfect way to escape the humdrum, and connect with the elements - such as the Hillary Trail, Karekare and Piha beaches. And there's so much more to see, experience and do! I thrive on the cultural context and connections where ever my lens travels, and enjoy this platform to showcase some of my work.

 

You've no doubt heard that "a picture paints a thousand words" and this is so true. My perception of Photography is that it represents who I am, where I come from, my "turangawaewae" or place to stand, and the direction of my journey which is inherently evolving. I find these "steps to knowledge" right in front of me everyday, in my whanau, in my community.

 

I'm a proud member of both the Auckland Photographic Society, and Photographic Society of New Zealand. I encourage you to join your local photography club to help grow your passion and collaborate with like minded individuals.
