I've loved photography since I was a little girl and saw my father with his German camera taking black and white photos of me and my sister. I've been told I have a "good eye" for photography by many people whom I respect, some amateur photographers, some professional. I own both digital and film cameras, but put more energy into digital lately because of the cost of film and because I adore the digital darkroom - a.k.a. Adobe Photoshop.

I tend to look for and photograph the beauty I see in the world, especially when it appears in an unlikely place. I love light and shadow and the microcosms that exist in the world close up as well as seeing movement in lines and curves even when an object is still. I love rich color as well as striking black and white or monochrome.

I am a Carolina girl by birth but am now living in the United Kingdom (Rossendale, Lancashire) after marrying my British sweetheart in 2008.
