I'm an aspiring photographer now from the north side of Chicago after many years of moving around the US and Europe during a career in Information Technology.
I remember growing up with the occasional evening of slide shows of pictures from my parent's travels and then my own early years captured on film with pets and my younger sister. These experiences must have set the groundwork for my own passions for travel and photography. I moved to digital in 2006 and then returned to film in the past year. Being self taught I looked at years of work while digitizing negatives and wished I'd known a little of what I know now back in those earlier days ...
I haven't always been true to this ideal: Live the life you love and love the life you live. Spending more time with a camera in a wonderful city like Chicago helps to better balance my own priorities. Viewing the shared images from all of our world warms my heart as well.

We have much in common. I, too, live in Chicago, although many of my photos are taken in Florida, or other areas outside of Chicago. We also both have an interest in animal photography. One difference between us is that you are an exceptional photographer. Your photos are extraordinary.
